Ever since I first held a camera, I’ve been captivated by the way a single frame can freeze a fleeting moment. Photography, for me, is more than just a hobby—it’s a way of seeing the world. Through the lens, ordinary scenes transform into stories, emotions, and memories I might otherwise forget.

I love how photography demands both patience and spontaneity. It teaches me to slow down, to notice the subtle shifts in light. Whether I’m wandering through a city or hiking through nature, my camera is an extension of how I connect with the world around me.

My Three Favorite Places

Canada

Canada is where I was born and live. I love exploring all that this great nation has to offer. From sea to sea to sea, the whole country is my palate. There are literally millions of compositions to be found. I could spend years exploring and never see everything.

Europe

Europe is so romantic, with cities alive with both beauty and history. I love taking photos in the many European cities, each with their own character and charm. The views are spectacular!

Iceland

Iceland is a totally different world where fire and ice co-exist in perfect harmony. The raw nature is unsurpassed. I love seeing how water, wind and eruptions of lava have shaped the landscape.

What Photography Means To Me

Photography changed my life

Photography helps me look at the world in a different way. Because of photography, I notice shapes and patterns that nobody else seems to notice, and I want to photograph them! I seem to pick out leading lines, or naturally occurring frames in the landscape.

I truly believe that photography helps me enjoy my surroundings more. I have a new appreciation for the beauty of the earth, and I love sharing that beauty with others through my photos. More than just an artistic outlet, photography is therapy, it has become a way for me to be present, mindful, and more deeply connected to the world around me.

My Favourite Photo

This is my favourite photo of all time!

I took this picture on my first photo adventure in Iceland. I love how the symmetry of the mountain is reflected in the tidal pool below. It was a difficult shot to get, as the sand below the water seemed to envelope the legs of my tripod the longer I stood still in the calm waters, pulling it deeper into the earth.

This picture was also my first Gold Photo Award from the Photography Academy, where I learned to solidify my skills as a Fine Art Landscape Photographer.

My Camera

This is the camera I use to take my images.

I shoot with the Nikon D850 full-frame camera.

This camera has a resolution that lets me print large sizes of my work.

It also has one of the highest dynamic ranges in the industry. This allows me get fine detail out of the shadows when I edit my photos.
